Reel Studio is operated by Octopy LLC. For privacy questions, complaints or deletion requests, contact Facundo Goiriz at facundogoiriz@gmail.com.
YouTube API Services and data
Reel Studio uses YouTube API Services. The Google Privacy Policy applies to Google's handling of your data. By using Reel Studio, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, as stated in our terms of service.
Google Sign-In gives us your account ID, email, name and profile photo to identify you and check your invitation. Connecting YouTube is a separate, optional authorization. We store encrypted access and refresh tokens, the channel ID and name, temporary upload session information, upload and processing status, and the resulting video ID and link. We use these to show the connected channel, upload videos you select, report the result and prevent duplicate uploads. We do not request, store or display YouTube audience statistics, views, likes or subscriber counts.
You choose the video, title, description, visibility and audience setting sent to YouTube. Connecting an account alone does not publish a video. Your Google or YouTube password is never requested or stored by Reel Studio.
Facebook and TikTok connections
Connecting Facebook or TikTok is optional. We store encrypted connection tokens and the selected Page or account identity for your organization. Authorized members can use that connection. When you confirm publication, we send the selected video, caption and applicable posting settings to that platform. We store publication status, provider identifiers and available post links to report the result. Connecting alone does not publish content. We do not request or store your Facebook or TikTok password.
Disconnecting stops new actions through that connection and removes its stored tokens. It does not delete publication history or posts already on the platform. You can also remove Reel Studio access in the platform account settings. Request deletion of remaining stored data using the instructions below.
Use, processing and sharing
Authorized members of your organization can use its connected accounts and see the related channel and publication information. Reel Studio's operators process data to run and support the service. Our hosting and storage providers, including Cloudflare, process data on our behalf; videos are kept in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket. Google receives authentication requests and YouTube receives the videos and metadata you choose to publish. Instagram receives data only for the Instagram features you authorize.
Reel Studio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google or YouTube API data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI models. We do not share Google or YouTube account data or tokens with AI editing services.
A Whisper model on our servers transcribes videos you upload. If AI editing is enabled, the transcript and editing instructions are sent to DeepSeek, directly or through OpenRouter. This is content from your own upload, not data retrieved from the YouTube API. Reel Studio does not serve third-party advertisements.
If you choose free AI editing for a video, Anthropic's Claude models edit it. We send Anthropic the transcript and word timings, still frames of the video and of the drafts being edited, data derived from the audio (loudness, pauses, and waveform and spectrogram images), the face positions detected in the frames, and the editing brief and instructions you write. Anthropic does not receive the video or audio files themselves. This content comes from your own upload, not from the YouTube API.
Cookies and device storage
We store and access session and OAuth cookies to keep you signed in and protect authorization. We use a cookie and local storage for your language preference, local storage for Instagram reply drafts, and browser file storage for temporary copies of uploads so interrupted uploads can recover. Hosting providers process connection information needed to serve and secure requests, such as IP addresses. Google, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok use their own cookies on their authorization pages. You can clear Reel Studio's cookies and site storage in your browser; this signs you out and can remove pending upload copies and drafts.
YouTube data retention
We check YouTube authorization and refresh stored channel information daily, including for inactive accounts. If verification fails, we retry and automatically remove connection API data before it becomes 30 days old without successful verification. Publication API data, including video IDs, links and upload session data, is automatically removed on a conservative 29-day schedule measured from the job's creation; later status changes do not extend that period. Expired API data is not shown in account or publication responses.
After API data is removed, we keep a record that the publication was attempted, to prevent an accidental duplicate upload. Any retained metadata you supplied follows the separate content-retention periods below. This record contains no YouTube channel identifier, video identifier, link or upload session data. Source videos, transcripts and your own editing metadata follow the separate periods below.
Delete data and revoke access
In Connections, choose Disconnect YouTube and confirm. We stop new YouTube actions, request revocation from Google and delete stored YouTube connection and publication API data and tokens when revocation succeeds. If Google is unavailable, we retry with local deletion within seven days. You can also revoke Reel Studio's access using the Google account connections page. We detect external revocation during our checks and delete stored YouTube API data within 30 days.
To request deletion of stored Google, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook or TikTok data, your account, or your transcript archive, email facundogoiriz@gmail.com from your account email and identify the account or organization. Do not send passwords or tokens. We verify ownership and complete YouTube data deletion requests within seven days. See data deletion instructions. Disconnecting or deleting local data does not delete videos already published on YouTube; manage those in YouTube.
Other stored content
Original and edited video files are deleted 24 hours after all publications succeed, or otherwise seven days after receipt. Incomplete uploads expire after 24 hours. Job history is kept for 90 days. A separate archive of your uploaded video's transcript, word timings, language, technical metadata and file references has no automatic expiry. Deleting video files or job history does not delete that archive; request its deletion by email. Google profile data is kept while used for sign-in or until deletion is requested.
For Instagram, we store authorized connection tokens, comments, messages, their author and time, and event and send identifiers to show conversations, apply response windows and prevent duplicates. Comment automation starts disabled. Disconnecting Instagram removes its stored connection and tokens but does not immediately erase conversation or publication history; request full deletion by email. To remove Instagram's grant too, remove Reel Studio in Instagram's Apps and websites settings.
